Building a radio station from scratch is a massive undertaking. Over the past year, we have fought hard to clear the regulatory hurdles. We’ve secured the license. We’ve done the paperwork. We have the “permission.”
Now comes the “hardware” phase—the expensive part.
This Giving Tuesday, we are asking the Brunswick community to rally behind us. We are ready to build, but we need your help to buy the steel and wire that will bring The Kraken (WBWK 95.7) to life.
The Mission: Why We Need to Launch
Low Power FM (LPFM) is a rare and precious resource. It is widely considered the last bastion of truly free, independent media in the United States.
When we secured the construction permit for 95.7, we didn’t just get a frequency—we secured a megaphone for Brunswick. This is our chance to share local music, local news, and vital information without a corporate filter.
