Radio Days

At 15, William found his calling in Bath, New York. Inspired by the classic show “WKRP in Cincinnati,” he stepped into the world of radio, becoming a voice on WVIN-FM/AM. Despite unconventional hours and shifts, he embraced the world of radio, making a mark at WCLI in Corning, NY, and eventually returning to WVIN as the night announcer. The radio years were a crescendo of passion and dedication.

Electronic and Computer Odyssey

William’s journey took a turn towards technology when he pursued his electronics degree in college. Computer labs replaced classrooms, leading him to discover a new realm of possibilities—computers and networking. A hiatus in NJ, marked by employment at an electronics company, revealed his knack for innovation, which is evident in setting up a computer BBS and owning the domain name

Professional Ventures

William’s professional journey from the assembly line to the IT department unfolded with roles at Catalink Direct and Arora and Associates. A stint at Peak Web Hosting added layers to his expertise. In 2016, he returned to the Corning/Bath, NY, area, finding a home at Corning Incorporated and later joining Contegix Hosting, where he served as the IT department’s Team Lead/Manager on third and first shift and then the Director of Support Operations.  Currently, William is the Director of Information Technology for the City of Brunswick, GA.

Fun Stuff

Beyond the tech world, William’s life is a blend of diverse interests. An avid reader and TV/movie enthusiast, he finds solace in cooking, with a certification as a BBQ Pitmaster and judge. Concerts, especially those featuring Gov’t Mule, hold a special place in his heart, and he cherishes the legacy of “The Grateful Dead” and the Allman Brothers band.
